Cape Point and Peninsula Tour

Cape Town

Activity Description

Where do the two oceans meet? And why is it called “the Cape of Good Hope”? Join us on a journey of discovery as we explore the splendour of the Cape Peninsula in Cape Town. We follow the Atlantic Seaboard, past Clifton & Camps Bay, to the fishing hamlet of Hout Bay for an optional boat cruise to Duiker Island to experience thousands of Cape Fur Seals in their natural habitat (R65). We continue along the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive to Simon’s Town to meet up with a colony of rare Jackass Penguins at Boulders Beach. You would’ve noticed the bicycles behind the bus by now! we swap four wheels for two to get some fresh air into our lungs and to build up a healthy appetite.

Our legendary scrumptious picnic lunch will then be served somewhere in the reserve… maybe at one of the stunning beaches! Are you brave enough to challenge the Atlantic?
After lunch we hike to the top lighthouse at Cape Point and then to the Cape of Good Hope. Both hikes offer breathtaking vistas and REAL fresh air! We return home via Scarborough and Kommetjie.

Customer Reviews

We had a great day on the Cape Point and Peninsula tour. Our guide (Bill) shared his vast knowledge about the history and wildlife of Cape Town and the peninsula during our drive, which was very interesting. Perfect amount of stops on the way made us feel like we didn't spend the whole day on the road. Will recommend this tour to others. - Karianne Navin

We had a great day on this trip on our first day in Cape Town. Good pick up and drop off and mixed abilities catered for. Great to learn about the area and food arrangements were okay. Good value for money. Knowledgeable enthusiastic guide - Kay Saunders

This was a a great day out.Excellent value .Picked up at 8am and dropped off at our hotel at 6pm.Bill our guide was very amiable and super knowlegeable about all things South Africa.Went first by Boat to Seal Island then Chapmans Peak Drive, then a bike ride, lunch and a walk up to the southernmost accessable lighthouse and then a hike up the Cape of Good Hope. On the way back went to Simonstown to see the Penguins. Certain degree of fitness required but all in all a fantastic full day out. Highly recommended - Jim and Alison Delaney

A whole day tour on the Cape Peninsula. With a small bike and hiking tour included. Very beautiful landscape. Seeli our guide was a good driver and told us a lot about the history and what to see. A nice picknick is included. I have done more tours with Daytrippers and always very good trips, no big groups and very flexible. - Anna

Great daytrip! I especially liked the combination of minibus, cycling and a little hiking. There was enough time to enjoy all the sights. Delicious pasta salad on the lunch buffet. Our guide Pedro provided information and entertainment. - Felix Bernet
