Cape Point and Peninsula Tour

Cape Town

Activity Description

Where do the two oceans meet? And why is it called “the Cape of Good Hope”? Join us on a journey of discovery as we explore the splendour of the Cape Peninsula in Cape Town. We follow the Atlantic Seaboard, past Clifton & Camps Bay, to the fishing hamlet of Hout Bay for an optional boat cruise to Duiker Island to experience thousands of Cape Fur Seals in their natural habitat (own account). We continue along the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive to Simon’s Town to meet up with a colony of rare Jackass Penguins at Boulders Beach. You would’ve noticed the bicycles behind the bus by now! we swap four wheels for two to get some fresh air into our lungs and to build up a healthy appetite.

Our legendary scrumptious picnic lunch will then be served somewhere in the reserve… maybe at one of the stunning beaches! Are you brave enough to challenge the Atlantic?
After lunch we hike to the top lighthouse at Cape Point and then to the Cape of Good Hope. Both hikes offer breathtaking vistas and REAL fresh air! We return home via Scarborough and Kommetjie.

Customer Reviews

Had a great day tour to Cape point in all aspects: driver that is a tour guide with a lot of knowledge, we visited all the interesting sites as promised, lunch was good, biking An exciting experience. Overall, was great day tour with small group (8 people). I strongly recommend - Moti Zvi

The daytrip to Cape Point was absolutely fantastic. We saw many animals, like baboons, ostrich, eland, dassies and of course the penguins. Apart from everything we saw it was especially Pedro, our guide, who made this day so special. He took care of us answered all our questions and was so much fun. I’ve never had a better tour guide on any of my tours through Australia and Africa! This guy is simply amazing! - Ina Brenk

Very good tour, which covers all the essentials with a very good and nice tour guide. - Rada CHEHLAROVA

I am so pleased I chose this company to work with. I had limited time, no car and wanted a full day peninsula tour. I saw everything I wanted to, and the guide was the best. I had expected to bike, but instead chose to spend more time hiking and thoroughly loved it. Excellent place for lunch included! - Donna Hoffman

A great day out with lots of fun getting to know Pedro and other members of the trip. Also, Pedro is a great professional host and a happy, pleasant, comedy, fun guy. Had some good laughs during the day particularly when Pedro and guest were dispatched to deal with "Shoe-gate" A lady guest misplaced her shoes on the beach and could not find them, all to much hilarity among the rest of the group guests as we wondered how she could have lost hers shoes and also how she would cope for the rest of the trip in bare feet! Bearing in mind we still had the climb to the lighthouse to do! Not to worry, up stepped the hero's of the day, Pedro and his guest companion, who meticulously combed the beach looking for the missing shoes, whilst the rest of us guests did our bit, by looking on and cracking jokes at the poor lady's expense. No harm done though, as the shoes were eventually found and the lady in question was a good sport as she joined in the laughter. "Shoe-gate" concluded, we carried on with the rest of the trip and the shoe jokes til the end! A great time had by all, many thanks Pedro and the rest of the fun group for the great trip and the entertainment along the way. Cheers Tony - Anthony Kemp
